The name of an FDNY firefighter who suffered a fatal medical emergency while battling a Brooklyn blaze last November was officially added to the department's Upper Manhattan memorial on Wednesday. New York's Bravest held its annual name-adding ceremony on Oct. 7 at the Firemen's Memorial, located at the corner of West 100th Street and Riverside Drive. This year, the names of 11 members of the department, active or retired, who died over the past year were added to the memorial. That includes Lieutenant Patrick Brady, a member of Ladder Company 120 in Brooklyn, who died in the line of duty on Nov. 8, 2025, after suffering a medical episode on the roof of 9407 Kings Hwy. in Brooklyn. He went into cardiac arrest, and despite the best efforts of first responders, he could not be saved.
