RAID DAY: Federal agents hit NYC adult day care centers in Medicaid fraud crackdown

An inter-agency task force of federal, state, and local law enforcement officials conducted multiple raids across several boroughs on Tuesday as part of an ongoing, massive Medicaid fraud investigation. According to law enforcement sources,  Homeland Security Investigations, the New York State Office of the Medicaid Inspector General, Internal Revenue Service, and the NYPD raided adult day care services across Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Queens.  Gov. Kathy Hochul, during an unrelated press conference Tuesday morning, said the investigations are related to Medicaid fraud.
